A collaborative furniture and home goods studio that culminated in an exhibition at ICFF, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, in New York.

For last year’s installment of Section 001, a collaborative studio based in University of Cincinnati’s DAAP, I was voted Creative Director by the members, chosen to lead the entire studio and guide the concept from start to finish. 

Based in Cincinnati, a midwestern city with a rich history of manufacturing, we teamed up with nine local manufacturing partners, learning from their practices and using their processes to create novel furniture and home goods. The partners ranged from large scale 3D printing, to a jet engine cover company, to a local bronze forge. 

The semester culminated in the creation of a booth at ICFF which was designed largely by me and Brenna Truax.

I was a large part of creating the book that documented the entire semester as well.
